The Orchard Retreat is an award-winning family-run holiday site, set amongst some of the most glorious countryside in the heart of Mid-Devon.
We offer two wonderful holiday cottages near Exeter, in a rural setting where you can enjoy a tastecation with lots of local places to eat and enjoy wonderful moor or coastal walks. To see more, check out our ‘Things To Do’ on our doorstep and a little further afield.
The holiday cottages are located in the main courtyard, both with their own secure gardens. Each have seating areas, BBQs and fire bowls. The cottages also have access to the Hidden Tubhouse, a wonderful wild wellness experience, with two baths and a shower – as well as the other lovely extras here on site.
We also offer eco camping – an intimate site with only 3 camping pitches, each with their own lockable private bathrooms. As well as all you need, bar your tent and some bedding. However, you can upgrade the camping to glamping and stay in a beautifully presented, pre set up, bell tent. For this option, please do get in touch for further information.
Guests are free to explore our 15 acres of meadows, woodland, streams and orchard. We are dog friendly and ideal for couples and single travellers, family and friends or groups, who want to relax and unwind and experience all we have on offer here at The OR.
For those with an electric car, we also have an EV charger via Voltshare – so despite being rural, you won’t need to worry about charging your car. But do bring your cable, as our charger is untethered.
