A Special Place

We think that there is something lovely about finding a place that feels like it’s been thought through properly. Not overdone, not crowded, just right. Well that is the feeling our guests get when settling in here, according to the years of feedback we have received. How lovely.

Nestled into the countryside, our rural site with 15 acres of beautiful meadows, wood and orchard, doesn’t try to compete with the rest of the world –  it just offers an escape from it.

Camping

Camping here starts in May and it’s not the usual squeeze you in situation. We have just three luxury pitches set in the orchard. Which means space, calm and a sense that you’re not sharing your weekend with half the county. Each pitch comes with its own private bathroom (yes, actually private), so you can skip the queues and head to your own bathroom whenever you want.

And then there’s the part people don’t always expect: you don’t need to haul your whole house with you. We provide towels and cooking equipment. So, as the basics are handled, you can arrive a little lighter. It’s camping, but without the usual chaos and with a bit of luxury thrown in.

Cottages

If tents aren’t your thing, or you just want a bit more structure, the cottages offer that easy “home away from home” feel. Clean, cosy and thoughtfully set up. They give you the comfort of indoors without losing the sense that you’ve stepped away from everyday life.

Lovely Extras

What makes us standout we think, are the extras. Not flashy, just quietly generous. A games room with a pool table for slow evenings. A lawn with badminton and table tennis. A treehouse that feels like it belongs in a childhood memory.

There’s also the Tubhouse, tucked into a wooded corner, private and a little bit magical. With two cast iron baths and a shower, it’s the kind of detail that turns a stay into something you end up talking about for a while afterwards. With many guests leaving saying they are going to put a bath in their garden. I wonder how many times that has actually happened.

Our site works because it is relaxed and unpretentious. Parents can let children roam. Friends can gather without feeling on top of each other. Couples can disappear into the quiet and not be interrupted.
