We have some news. It is BIG news and we wanted to share it with all our lovely guests and followers, to keep you all up to date with everything.
After 10 amazing years running our wonderful yurts, we have decided to make a change to the business. So, this season will be our last.
Don’t worry the cottages will remain as they are for many years to come. We are just moving away from glamping.
It may seem strange to want to stop offering the yurts while they are still so popular, but the truth is, the market is changing and we want to bow out on a high.
Despite absolutely loving them, they are why we started the business – we just feel the time has come to move on.
The Gallery
To soften the blow – we are hoping to convert the Gallery to sleep four and have three lovely cottages to offer our guests here at The Orchard Retreat (fondly known as the OR).
It will make our offering less seasonal, as the cottages are available all year round. Plus, it will remain the intimate and lovely site our guests know and love.
So, if you are a group of two or three families, who usually hire the yurts together – then you can still come, hire the cottages and enjoy all we have on offer and have the whole place to yourselves.
What happens to the kitchen and bathroom block I hear you ask? Well, we have decided to use that as a lovely outdoor dining and leisure space for our cottage guests.
Groups or individual families who still want use the kitchen, BBQ, outdoor baths, pizza oven, fire pit, lawn games and generally still hang around the orchard can. Win win!
In time, the yurt pitches will become lovely relaxing wildflower seating areas – ensuring the orchard remains a big feature of your stay.
So, for now, that is it – we hope our loyal glamping regulars will understand and still want to come and spend time here, albeit in different accommodation.
Last Year to Book the Yurts
As this will be our last yurt season, if you need an OR yurt fix, then do organise a last min stay – as usual, we can accommodate two night weekend stays in the yurts this year, outside of the holidays. So let’s go out with a bang!
