[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”Mobile Service”][vc_column_text css_animation=”appear”]O2 works well on site but if you use any other service provider then enjoy the break as there is very limited, if any at all, service via other networks. However, please note free Wi-Fi is available in the cottages and The Gallery and even as far as the facilities block. Remember you can always use your mobile regardless of service to make an emergency call.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”Facilities”][vc_column_text css_animation=”appear”]The Facilities Lodge houses a private bathroom for each yurt and a communal kitchen with additional cooking facilities.
The Gallery available, with Wi-Fi, indoor and outdoor games, books, loo, and laundry room. All guests are welcome to use The Gallery but please note there may be the odd occasion when this has been hired, by guests, exclusively for an event.
We also have an outdoor bathroom, The Hidden Tubhouse, with two cast iron baths and a shower, cob pizza oven for hire, a communal fire pit, a treehouse with swings and slide, a small trampoline, badminton and outdoor table tennis.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”Group Bookings”][vc_column_text css_animation=”appear”]We allow group bookings but please ensure you let us know the group size/type at the time of booking! [/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”Wood Burners”][vc_column_text css_animation=”appear”]Check out more on how to light a wood burner here.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”Environmental Impact”][vc_column_text css_animation=”appear”]Throughout the site we endeavour to minimise our impact on the environment by using a wind turbine electricity company, our own bore hole water source, bio-digesters for the treatment of waste water, and non-toxic cleaning products. We also provide recycling for waste materials and compost bins for food waste.
We use the humorously titled ‘Who Gives a Crap’ 100% recycled and bamboo loo roll which features absolutely no plastic wrapping at all. Compared to other recycled loos rolls, this really is soft and thick and white! Without inks, dyes or scents and with 50% of their profits going help build loos in 3rd world countries – we just had to make the switch.
We also buy locally where we can and work with other local businesses to ensure our carbon footprint is low – often opting for the clean products, that are cruelty free too.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”Bees”][vc_column_text css_animation=”appear”]We are a friend of the bees and have a secluded area in the wood with 4 hives. This is their own peaceful sanctuary, so please respect their privacy as they are busy making delicious honey![/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”Chickens”][vc_column_text css_animation=”appear”]We have some chickens free ranging behind the main farmhouse. They are all fenced in and safe should you be bringing your dog, although please do be mindful that they are there and remember to keep your dogs on a lead where necessary – thank you.
If you would like to experience collecting the eggs – then please do let us know, we would love to do this with you.
