SOUTH WEST TOURISM AWARDS
Bronze Award At The South West Tourism Awards
It seems like a while ago now, but it was only last month that we attended the South West Tourism Awards. What an incredible set up, seated under Concorde in the new Aerospace Museum in Bristol, the event couldn’t have gone any better.
After a wonderful 3 course dinner and some inspirational talks from guest speakers, the awards began. I always find it so nerve wracking collecting our award, but once we heard our name, Orchard Retreat, we glided onto the stage where we scooped bronze.
Wow – 3rd best Glamping site in the South West, not bad!
Being part of the awards process is so motivating. There are so many great opportunities that come out of it – workshops, networking, the chance to speak to others about your entry (sadly that is a no from me – me and my stage freight). But still some really wonderful opportunities arise.
It is such a thrill to be part of such an incredible evening – to be up there with some other amazing tourism businesses really connects you to Devon and the South West. One of our table buddies has even booked to come and stay in August. So amazing.
Thank you to the Service for Tourism group, Robin Barker and his team – another wonderful time was had where we were awarded bronze and became one of the top three glamp sites in the South West!
Bookings are coming in fast, but we do still have plenty of availability in the yurts (perhaps I need to work on my marketing more 🙂 ) so please do check availability where you can book directly or give us a call and we can organise your stay for you.
PS: Spring is in the air and the yurts go up next week ready for Easter – so excited…
