Welcome to Orchard Retreat camping – a beautiful site with only 3 camping pitches, each with its own private bathroom. Perfect for a more relaxing get away.
Either bring your own tent or hire a beautiful furnished bell tent, which will be ready for your arrival. If you would like to hire a bell tent please enquire at stay@theorcardretrerat.co.uk for more information.
Russet is on the right of three pitches, near the pizza oven, with lovely views of the apple trees and is the furthest pitch to the right, as you enter the orchard. Nearest the pizza oven.
*Please note that due to the layout of the site, you can’t park your car next to the pitch – but we provide wheelbarrows so you can take your tent etc up to the orchard from the parking area, which is only a short walk away.
Follow the paths (lit by solar lanterns at night) to the Facilities Lodge where you will find your own private bathroom with a shower, loo, hairdryer and shaving light. There is also a shared kitchen with cooking facilities and sinks for washing up – eco washing up liquid is provided. There are two fridges shared between the three pitches and one communal freezer (with ice bricks), mini oven, microwave and slow cooker, along with a kettle and toaster and further outdoor seating. Further outdoor seating and a gas and charcoal BBQ.
Bar your tent and bedding, all you have to bring is yourselves and some food and drink.

We are dog friendly, so you are welcome to bring your dog to our site, but please do follow our dog rules.
Lovely Extras
We also welcome you to make use of The Hidden Tubhouse, an outdoor bathroom with two cast iron baths and a shower, the communal fire pit or hire our cob pizza oven, both of which are located in the orchard. Play badminton or outdoor table tennis with the bats and balls etc provided. Enjoy The Gallery – hang out reconnect, play pool or other games or just relax. The Gallery also has a loo and laundry facilities.
Due to the natural setting of our camping pitches, people with mobility difficulties and wheelchair users will find that access on the uneven and unpaved terrain is not possible. However, please do contact us for any mobility queries you may have.
