Our Russet Yurt is set in the middle of the 4 acre mature apple orchard, with lovely views of the apple trees. Russet measures 18ft in diameter, large enough to comfortably sleep up to four people, with room for a fifth (child only) if required. The internal wood frames and beautiful stable doors are comprised of a mixture of chestnut, hazel, douglas fir and oak – sustainably sourced from nearby woodlands. Russet is furnished to a high standard, as are all our yurts, providing such a comfortable and cosy living space that you may not want to ever leave!
Russet comes fully equipped with everything you need so that all you have to bring is yourselves and some food and drink!

Follow the paths (lit by solar lanterns at night) to the Facilities Lodge where you will find your own private bathroom, with hairdryer and shaving light. There is also a shared kitchen, with additional cooking facilities and sinks for washing up – eco washing up liquid is provided. There is a fridge dedicated to each yurt and a communal freezer (with ice bricks for your cool box in the yurt), mini oven, microwave and slow cooker, along with a kettle and toaster and further outdoor seating.
We also welcome you to make use of The Hidden Tubhouse, an outdoor bathroom with two cast iron baths and a shower, the communal fire pit or hire our cob pizza oven, both of which are located in the orchard. Enjoy The Gallery (a beautifully restored old cattle shed located in the main courtyard) – if you can’t go a day without Wi-Fi then hang out here to reconnect, play games or just relax. The Gallery also has a loo and laundry facilities.
Due to the natural setting of our yurts, people with mobility difficulties and wheelchair users will find that access on the uneven and unpaved terrain is not possible. However, please do contact us for any mobility queries you may have.
