The Hidden Tubhouse
Take a refreshing shower, bathe the children or have a romantic soak side by side in our outdoor bathroom, with two traditional cast iron baths and a shower. The tubhouse is free for all guests to use, our only request is that you use earth friendly products at all times (supplied in our shop if your forget your own) and be mindful of other guests who may be waiting their turn. Nestled in a small wooded area near The Facilities Lodge, take in the view of the sky and trees, listen to the gentle babbling of the nearby stream and relax.
Please note: the tub house is available throughout the yurt season. However, if you are staying in a cottage during winter months – please do ask if you would like to use it.
Wood-Fired Oven
Why not hire our lovely hand built cob pizza oven during your stay. To hire the pizza oven costs just £10 and includes a basket of wood, pizza paddle and detailed instructions on how to use it. Please book a slot on arrival or when confirming your booking. You can buy pizzas from our shop or make your own dough. You can always hire the oven to cook other delicious delights…get your imagination flowing!
Site Shop
We sell a small selection of locally sourced items – Prosecco, wine & cider from our local wine merchants in Crediton, BBQ charcoal made in Devon, eco fire lighters, additional baskets of wood, soap, natural shower & bath products, a small selection of ready meals, pizza, coffee freshly roasted and ground from Roastworks Devon, ice, some local art and a few other items.
Let The Children Run Free
Enjoy our treehouse with chalk boards inside, slide, swings & climbing wall.
Play hide and seek in the woods or Pooh Sticks in the stream and go on a nature walk across our land. With 15 acres of beautiful countryside there is plenty to explore on site and we hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we do.
Badminton & Table Tennis
Enjoy a game of badminton or table tennis on the lawn by the Facilities Lodge. Available to all guests on a first come first serve, excuse the pun, basis.
The Gallery
The Gallery is a communal space for all guests to mingle, with Wi-Fi, with a pool table, indoor and outdoor games, books & plenty of seating.
You will also find the laundry room – washing is charged at £3 per wash and dry, which includes eco washing liquid.
Relax
Hang Out Under The Stars: Light the fire pit, toast marshmallows, meet new friends or gather with old.
Meadowtate: Take a picnic to our idyllic wild meadow and relax, unwind and rejuvenate in our beautiful unspoiled surroundings. There is a picnic basket you can borrow from our site shop, so please help yourself, just don’t forget to return it afterwards!
Snooze In The Hammock: Slung between two of our apple trees, perfect for reading or snoozing and big enough for two.
Yoga – lovely extra!
Fancy doing some yoga during your stay? Then why not set aside some time and book Claire, our local yoga instructor who lives just next door, to come to you at The Orchard Retreat and work her magic.
It doesn’t matter if you have never done yoga before and would love to try it, or if you are an experienced yogi and would enjoy a session with a different teacher.
Claire is experienced in teaching all levels – she specialises in yoga therapy and restorative yoga and can offer Ayurvedic Massage. Alternatively, try her Hatha Vinyasa flow session!
All equipment will be provided.

Pricing
£40 for one to one yoga (1 hour)
£55 for couples yoga (approx. 1.5 hours)
£65 for group yoga for 3-10 people (1 hour)
£100 for group yoga for 3-10 people (1.5 hours)
One to one yoga can take place from the comfort of your accommodation and couples and group yoga can take place in The Gallery or outside if the weather permits. Up to 12 people for the group yoga may be considered for outdoor classes.
