Summer is Here!

With the summer solstice yesterday, we are officially in Summer – hooray.

The weather has certainly made it feel that way, which is wonderful.  Our guests are enjoying basking in the sun here in Devon – last weeks Glamping guests absolutely loved it and all plan to return again soon.

They were a group who took over all yurts and Apple Tree Cottage.  Feedback was this was the best Glamping stay they had ever had and this was their 5th as a group.  What a accolade!

Despite a slow start to the season, with people going abroad and the hideous price rises we are all experiencing – we have already welcomed some old and new faces. Whoop. Plus we are pretty booked up from now.  But do check our Bookings page, as you may be lucky and find a space to come down.  We would love to welcome you.

Cider Barn & Gallery – Spruce up for Summer

During our quieter time, we didn’t rest on our laurels.  We took the time to paint The Cider Barn and The Gallery and they now look amazing. This is something we have wanted to do for a while and were pleased to get it done before the season really kicked off.

We also added a new fence to Apple Tree Cottages garden to make it more private, family and dog friendly.  It looks great and has already been trialled by a couple with their dog.  They loved it.

 

Visit England Glamping Ranking

It really is looking so gorgeous out there, Visit England have just completed their yearly assessment and we still are ranking very highly. In fact, our assessor said we were their highest ranking Glamping site which is amazing.  Plus the cottages are still a high 4* Gold. So we are super proud.  Our hard work and lovely guest feedback obviously is obviously working. Hooray.

We recently hosted the wedding group for Binka at The Ring of Bells, who was getting married.  She got married in the village church, with the reception at the pub.  We were spoilt with their fantastic food as usual – a must visit when you stay.

Binka enjoyed Glamping in Pippin yurt the night before her big day.  Everyone had a fantastic time. I was an usher – very 2022, which was brilliant.  Maddy was a bridesmaid.  The whole weekend was perfect.

 

Yoga Retreats & More…

We are also looking forward to hosting a lovely yoga retreat in September. Run by Puto Yoga which will be lovely.  As well as Glamping here in Devon, the guests will go river swimming and enjoy yoga during their stay.  Can’t wait to see it all in action.

Nick and I are off to Glastonbury Festival tomorrow and we are so excited. We are working there as part of the recycling crew.  We are litter picking the Pyramid stage in the morning, whilst working for a charity and we get to enjoy the festival too.  This really is a dream for us.  Love being able to help and donate to charity (Rowcroft Hospice).

My parents are kindly looking after the site for us, and Maddy, oh and the dogs and chickens…wishing them lots of luck.
